Anupama Devi is famous in Jain stories as the wise and religious wife of Tejpal, the younger brother of Vastupal.

• Vastupal and Tejpal were ministers of King Vir Dhaval in Gujarat.
• Tejpal’s wife, Anupama Devi, was very intelligent, soft‑spoken, and deeply religious.
• Once, both brothers and their families went on a Jain pilgrimage. The area ahead was full of thieves, so they decided to bury their jewelry and money in the ground for safety.
• While digging, they found a big pot full of jewels and coins already buried there.
• They were confused: “Whose wealth is this? What should we do with it?”
• Anupama Devi immediately said:

“This wealth has come from the earth, but its best place is on the top of a mountain, where it can spread the glory of Jain Dharma.”

• With this noble thought, they decided to use that wealth to build magnificent Jain temples (like the famous Dilwara temples on Mount Abu).
• In this way, Anupama Devi showed ideal dāna (charity), vivek (right thinking), and deep devotion to Jain dharma.

So, while there may not be a separate “Anupama Devi story book” commonly printed only on her, her story is usually included in Jain story books under “Vastupal–Tejpal”.
