M.Abu na parmar vansh thi Jain dharma accepted and Doshi surname malel swetamber murtipujak chhi want know about our GOTRA AND OUR DEVI Name please

In Jain Dharma, gotra and kuldevi (family devi) are not fixed or decided by scriptures for each surname. They depend on your specific community, village, and family line, so no one sitting far away (including me) can reliably tell you the exact gotra or devi for “Parmar → Doshi, Mt. Abu” family.

    1. About “gotra” for Jains

    • Jain Agams do not give a compulsory gotra system like in Hindu dharma.
    • Among Śvetāmbara mūrti-pūjak Jains (Oswal, Porwal, etc.), “84 gotra / chaurasi gotra” and similar lists exist, but these are community records, not shastric rules.
    • So, the correct gotra for your family must be taken from:
    - Old family “vahi / patrika / vahivat” records - Marriage invitations of elders (often gotra is written) - Community / sangh records of your jati (e.g., Oswal–Parmar, Porwal–Parmar, etc.) - Elder relatives (kakaji, dada, fufa, etc.) who remember the traditional gotra name

Without seeing those records, I cannot honestly fix your gotra name just from “Parmar vansh, Doshi, Mt. Abu”.

    2. About “our Devi” (Kuldevi)

    • In Jainism, main sharan is Panch Parmeshti – Arihant, Siddha, Acharya, Upadhyaya, Sadhu.
    • Dev–Devi (Shasan Devi, Yakshini, Kuldevi) are rakshak, not the ultimate goal.
    • There is no single Devi for all Parmar / Doshi Jains.
    • Even within the same surname, different families can have different Kuldevi (Ambika, Padmavati, Chakreshwari, Suswani Mataji, etc.), depending on:
    - Which ancestral derasar your family belongs to - What is written in your kul‑patrika or on old temple stones - Local tradition of your particular branch of the family

To know your real Kuldevi, the safest way is:

    1. Ask the eldest family members: “Huṁrāni kuldevi nu nām shuṁ chhe? Aapnā vahivat mā suṁ lakhyuṁ chhe?”
    2. Check:

    - Old family records / kul‑patrika - Inscriptions or boards in your ancestral derasar (especially in Rajasthan / Mt. Abu side)

    1. If your family belongs to a known Jain jati (Oswal, Porwal, etc.), ask the jati-mandal / sangh; they often keep gotra–kuldevi lists.

    3. Spiritual view (Śvetāmbara Murtipujak)

    • Both gotra and kuldevi are social / family traditions, not deciding your spiritual status.
    • For moksha, what matters is:
    - Samyak darshan (right faith) - Samyak jnan (right knowledge) - Samyak charitra (right conduct)

You can read a simple explanation about Jain gotra and kuldevi concepts here:

    • About Jain gotra
    • About Jain Kuldevi traditions

So, for your specific Parmar → Doshi, Mt. Abu family, the only accurate answer must come from your own family / community records, not from a general online reply.
