Talk with Simandhar Swamy
In Jain Dharma, Shri Simandhar Swami is a living Tirthankar currently present in Mahavideh Kshetra. From Bharat Kshetra (our world) we cannot literally “talk” to Him in a normal conversational way, but we can:
- Remember Him with deep faith (shraddha)
- Recite His stavan / namokar mantra with His bhav
- Meditate on His divine form and gunas (qualities)
- Do bhav-samvad: an inner, devotional “dialogue” with Him in our heart
Below is a simple, bhav-based way to “talk with Simandhar Swami” while keeping full Jain siddhant intact.
---
1. Prepare your mind
Sit quietly for a few minutes:
- Take a clean, calm place.
- Sit in a stable posture (padmasan, ardhapadmasan or simple cross-legged).
- Take 3–5 deep breaths and calm your thoughts.
- If you know, recite:
“Namo Arihantanam, Namo Siddhanam, Namo Ayariyanam, Namo Uvajjhayanam, Namo Loe Savva Sahunam.”
Then, remember:
> “I bow to Shri Simandhar Swami, an enlightened Tirthankar, knower of all.”
---
2. Visualise Simandhar Swami (with proper Jain bhav)
Gently imagine:
- Simandhar Swami seated in padmasan on a simhasan, with shri-vatsa sign on chest.
- A very peaceful, detached, compassionate face.
- Divine calmness in the samavasaran.
- You are sitting far below as a humble, ordinary soul seeking guidance.
Keep clear that:
- He is Vitarag (totally without attachment and aversion).
- He does not “choose” or “favour” any person.
- Any “answer” you feel is actually your own purified understanding arising by remembering His true form and teachings.
---
3. A simple inner “samvad” (dialogue in bhav)
You may “talk” in your mind like this:
You (bhav): “Hey Vitarag Simandhar Swami, I bow at Your feet. I am full of ignorance and karmas. Please bless me with right understanding to walk on the path of samyak darshan, jnan and charitra.”
Now, instead of expecting a voice, recall His teachings (what a Tirthankar teaches in general):
- “All souls are responsible for their own karmas.”
- “Violence, lies, theft, sensual indulgence, and possessions bind karmas.”
- “Right Faith, Right Knowledge, Right Conduct lead towards liberation.”
- “Have compassion for all living beings (Jiv-daya).”
You can then continue:
You (bhav): “Prabhu, I am struggling with anger / attachment / fear / laziness (choose your real problem). How should I walk on Your path?”
Now answer to yourself from what you know of Jain Dharma, as if guided by His vitarag teachings:
- “Anger reduces by forgiveness and humility.”
- “Attachment reduces by seeing everything as temporary and karmic.”
- “Fear reduces by knowing: I am an eternal soul, body and situations are changing.”
- “Laziness reduces by remembering the value of this rare human birth and the goal of moksha.”
This way, the “talk” stays within true Jain principles, without imagining any worldly favours or miracles.

4. Short bhav-prarthana to Simandhar Swami
You can use such simple words:
“Hey Vitarag Simandhar Swami, You are the ocean of keval-jnan and compassion. I bow at Your lotus feet with utmost respect. May I get samyak darshan, may I walk on the path of non-violence, truth, and self-discipline. Please grant me inner strength to reduce anger, pride, deceit and greed. Let my life become a step towards moksha.”
Repeat slowly, with feeling.
---
5. Daily small practice
- Every day, for 5–10 minutes:
Over time, this creates a feeling as if you are always guided by Tirthankar’s path, which is the purest way of “being with” Simandhar Swami.

If you want, I can next share a very simple stuti of Tirthankars with meaning, which you can use especially for Simandhar Swami in your bhav.
