According to Jain scriptures, Bhagwan Rishabhdev (Adinath) had a very long lifespan:

• His age is given as 8,400,000 “purva” years (84 lakh purva).
• A “purva” is an extremely huge time unit in Jain cosmology, not comparable to normal years.
• This figure is mainly found in Śvetāmbara tradition; Digambar texts also describe an unimaginably long lifespan, though exact numerical details may vary slightly.

So, in simple words: Bhagwan Rishabhdev lived for an almost infinite‑seeming time, counted in lakhs of “purva” years, far beyond our normal human time scale.
