Parshvanath bhagwan in dream
In Jainism, seeing Parshvanath Bhagwan in a dream is considered very auspicious (shubha) and spiritually encouraging.
Some simple points:
- Sign of punya & spiritual progress
– Darshan of a Tirthankar, even in a dream, is believed to arise from good karmas (punya). – It is taken as a reminder to walk more firmly on the path of ahimsa, satya, brahmacharya, aparigraha and dharma.
- Not a fixed “future prediction”
– Jain philosophy says dreams are nimitta (signals), not guaranteed destiny. – So, don’t attach fear or ego to it; treat it as a gentle spiritual encouragement.
- What you can do after such a dream
– Do Navkar Mantra with deep bhakti. – If possible, do darshan/puja of Parshvanath Bhagwan’s idol the same day. – Strengthen daily sadhana: • avoid himsa, anger and harsh speech that day • do pratikraman in the evening – If you know it, you may recite Uvasaggaharam Stotra of Parshvanath Bhagwan for shanti and protection from obstacles.
- Essence according to Jain view
– It is a good sign: rise of punya and an opportunity to increase vivek (discrimination), dharma, and devotion. – The real “result” of the dream depends on how you improve your thoughts, words and actions afterwards.
