    Unqiue Jain name for boys

    8 months ago 121

Here are some relatively unique, Jain-friendly baby boy names with simple meanings. I’ll avoid the very common ones like Mahavir, Parshva, etc.

    Spiritually themed / Jain-concept names

    1. Veetrag – one who is free from passions (vītarāga, core Jain ideal)
    2. Veetmoh – free from delusion/attachment (moh)
    3. Keval – pure, complete; from keval‑jnan (omniscience)
    4. Kaival – liberation, the state of perfect aloneness (moksha)
    5. Ksham – forgiveness
    6. Karun – compassion
    7. Kalyan – welfare, auspicious good
    8. Shuddhav – pure, spotless
    9. Dhyey – spiritual focus, goal of life
    10. Namit – one who bows humbly, respectful

Inspired by Jain Tirthankars / Acharyas (but less common as baby names)

    1. Naminath – name of the 21st Tirthankar, very peaceful nature
    2. Kunthunath – 17th Tirthankar’s name
    3. Munisuvrat – name of a Tirthankar, vow‑observing ascetic
    4. Vasupujya – 12th Tirthankar, “one worshipped by the wealthy gods”
    5. Chandraprabha – 8th Tirthankar, “moon‑radiance”

Names often used in Jain families, but still feel a bit unique

    1. Arham – noble, worthy (widely accepted in Jain context)
    2. Arhan – worthy one; realized soul (from Arhat)
    3. Nimit – instrument / cause with purpose; noble person
    4. Shreyansh – part of auspiciousness, prosperity in virtue
    5. Kushal – skillful, auspicious, virtuous
    6. Kirtidhara – bearer of good fame (through virtues)
    7. Laxit – brilliant, distinguished
    8. Nirav – quiet, calm, peaceful
    9. Hasmukh – ever‑smiling, cheerful
    10. Sumant – gentle and wise, balanced mind

All of these are suitable for both Digambar and Shwetambar families; differences are mostly in pronunciation, not meaning.
