I went to girnarji yatra, I travelled more than 500 km to reach there did I get more wrong karma from this
In Jain dharma, karma does not depend on “how many kilometers” you travel, but on:
- Your inner feeling (भव)
- The type of हिंसा you cause while travelling
So:
1. Your भाव for Girnarji yatra
- You went for darshan, bhakti and shraddha.
- Such yatra, with good भाव, generally binds बहुत सारा पुण्य कर्म (especially if there is:
This पुण्य can be much more than the छोटा पाप from travelling itself.
2. हिंसा due to travelling
- When we use vehicles, there is अनिवार्य सूक्ष्म हिंसा (small beings dying on road, in air, etc.).
- For this, कर्म बंध होता है, but its heaviness depends on:
If you travelled with care, no anger, no show-off, no intoxicants, then the पाप is lighter.
3. Did you get “more wrong karma”?
- You did not automatically get “more bad karma” just because the distance was 500 km.
- You likely collected:
In Jain view, this kind of यात्रा, done with सम्यक भाव and afterwards प्रतिक्रमण, is generally considered spiritually beneficial, not harmful.
4. What you can do now
To balance and purify:- Do प्रतिक्रमण (even short, व्यक्तिगत pratikraman):
- Recite “क्षमा-याचना”, Logassa, पंचिन्दिय, नवकार with भावना of:
- In future travels:
So, no need to feel guilty or scared. Instead, feel grateful for the पुण्य अवसर (Girnarji yatra), and softly correct whatever हिंसा unavoidably happened by pratikraman and more awareness in future.
