In Jain Darshan, “Naya” (नय) means:

A particular standpoint or partial viewpoint from which we know or describe a thing.

• Every object has many aspects (anekānt).
• From one angle we see one truth, from another angle a different truth.
• Each such angle of seeing/knowing is called a Naya.

So:

• Naya = drishti / point of view, not the whole truth.
• Each Naya is right in its own limited field, but incomplete.
• Putting many nayas together gives a more complete understanding and avoids one‑sided thinking and speaking.
