Rahu grah dosh remedied
In Jain Dharma, planets like Rahu are not considered independent gods who can “curse” or “save” us. Whatever “Rahu grah dosh” you feel is ultimately the result of your own past and present karma, not the anger of a planet.
So, from a pure Jain viewpoint, the real remedy is karmic purification, not special upay for Rahu.
Here are simple Jain ways that help reduce the effects of any paap‑karma (including what people call grah dosh):
- Navkar Mantra ni bhakti
- Do daily jaap of Navkar Mantra with shradha. - Especially in the morning and before sleep. - Focus on kshamapana (asking forgiveness) and shanti (peace).
- Pratikraman
- Do daily or at least regular pratikraman (morning/evening or Samvatsari). - Accept your mistakes in thoughts, words, and actions. - This directly reduces paap‑bandh and gives inner peace.
- Samayik (shanti sadhana)
- Sit quietly for 20–48 minutes in samayik. - Try to remain sama‑bhav (calm, non‑reactive) even during difficulties. - This weakens the effect of ashubh karma.
- Tap & Vrat
- Do upvas, ekasana, ayambil, or at least simple food‑restraint with good bhav. - Avoid unnecessary violence (ahimsa), falsehood, and over‑attachment. - These bring powerful punya which can soften harsh karmic fruits.
- Daan & Seva
- Help the needy with ahimsa‑based charity. - Support Jain temples, pathshalas, sadhu–sadhvi seva, etc. - Do it without ego; this builds shubh karma that can balance suffering.
- Kshamapana (forgiveness)
- Consciously forgive others and seek forgiveness. - Anger, revenge, jealousy etc. strengthen bad karmas. - Forgiveness melts many inner dosh more than any grah‑shanti.
- Avoid non‑Jain grah‑pooja
- Jain Acharyas generally do not recommend: - animal sacrifices, - fear‑based yantra/tontra, - worship of planets as supreme gods. - All dravya‑upay without right bhav give very limited change; real change is from bhav‑shuddhi (inner purity).
If an astrologer has told you about “Rahu dosh”, you may keep or leave those rituals as per family, but according to Jain Dharma, do not fear Rahu; focus on:
- Right Faith (Samyak Darshan)
- Right Knowledge (Samyak Jnan)
- Right Conduct (Samyak Charitra)
These three are the only true “remedy” for any grah or dosh because they remove the root cause – karma.
