No. Jains are not Hindus.

• Jainism is a separate, independent dharma with its own Tirthankars, scriptures, vows, and path to moksha.
• It does not come from Hinduism and is not a branch or subset of Hinduism.
• Both Digambar and Shwetambar traditions agree that Jainism is a distinct religion.
• Jains and Hindus share Indian culture (language, festivals, dress, etc.), so from outside they may look “similar”, but religion and philosophy are different.

If someone asks about your religion, the clear answer according to Jain tradition is: “I am Jain”, not Hindu.
