“Galaiya” (also written in different spellings) is not an exclusively Jain surname.

In Jainism:

• Jain dharma does not fix any “Jain-only” surnames.
• Many surnames are shared across Jains, Hindus, and sometimes other communities.
• So some families with the surname Galaiya may be Jain, and others may follow different religions.

To know if a particular Galaiya family is Jain, the correct way is to see:

• what dharma they actually follow (beliefs, practices, temple they go to), and
• their family and community tradition, not just the surname.

So: Galaiya can belong to Jains, but it is not proof by itself that someone is Jain.
