In Jain dharma, in our Bharat Kshetra and in the present time‑cycle (Avasarpini), Bhagwan Mahavir is the 24th and last Tirthankar.

So:

• After Mahavir, no new Tirthankar will come in this current half‑cycle of time.
• We are now in Pancham Kaal (5th era), in which no Tirthankars take birth.
• The “next” Tirthankars will appear only in the next Utsarpini (future ascending half‑cycle), after this whole cycle is over.

About the very distant future:

• In the next Utsarpini, again 24 Tirthankars will come.
• The first Tirthankar of that future set is described differently in traditions:

But for us right now, in this world and this time‑cycle, there is no Tirthankar after Mahavir Swami.
