I want to tell a story to my 1.5 year old baby boy. Please give me a good story or anecdote from our Jainism history. Give me 3 stories.

Certainly! Here are three simple and gentle Jain stories suitable for telling a very young child:

    1. The Kind Elephant Kapila Once upon a time, there was a gentle elephant named Kapila. Kapila lived in the forest and was very kind to all animals. One day, he saw a thirsty rabbit searching for water. Kapila gently used his trunk to dig a small pond, and the rabbit drank the water happily. All the animals loved Kapila because he was loving and never harmed anyone. Kapila practiced ahimsa (non-violence), just like all Jains.

    2. The Truthful Little Prince Long ago, there was a little prince named Mahavir. One day, he found a bird with a hurt wing. The prince gently picked up the bird and helped it heal. He never told lies and always spoke kindly. The little prince grew up to become Lord Mahavir, who taught everyone to be truthful and kind to all living beings.

    3. The Sharing Monkey A group of monkeys found some sweet fruits in the forest. One small monkey remembered what his mother taught him: "Always share with others." So, he called his friends and shared all the fruits equally. All the monkeys were happy and thanked the little monkey. This made the monkey feel joy in his heart, because sharing is a very good Jain value.

Feel free to tell these stories with actions and soft voices to make them enjoyable for your little one!
