In Jain dharma, “yuglik manuṣya” (युगलिक मनुष्य) means a human who is born together as a pair – two humans taking birth in the same “yoni”/set‑up in a special, karmically-linked way. The term comes in descriptions of special human births (like Tirthankar, Chakravarti etc.), where some are born along with a fixed companion or counterpart.

Exact details (like list of all yuglik births, names etc.) differ in depth and emphasis between Jain traditions and texts, but the basic idea is:

• It is a very rare, special type of human birth.
• It comes only because of very strong, specific karma‑bandh done in past lives.

What must one have done in previous birth?

To be born as such a yuglik manushya, Jain karma theory would say roughly:

1. Very intense punya (meritorious karma)

- Lifelong dāna (charity) without pride. - Seva of sādhus–sādhvīs, shravaks–shravikās, parents, teachers. - Deep shraddhā in Tirthankars and Jain dharma.

1. Strong saṃyog (bond) karma with that other jīva

- Repeatedly living and acting together (as relatives, partners, companions). - Helping each other in dharma. - Doing many joint punya–karmas, creating a joint cause to be born again closely connected.

1. Low level of paap and passions

- Avoiding heavy violence (hiṃsā), lies, theft, sexual misconduct, and greed. - Controlling krodh, mān, māyā, lobh as much as possible.

In short, a yuglik human birth is the result of:

• Very pure, strong punya,
• Plus special bonding karmas with one particular soul,
• Along with relatively less powerful paap karmas.

This is a technical point from Jain karma–philosophy; it is not a general goal for everyone. The real aim in Jain dharma remains: get Right Faith, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct, and move toward moksha, whatever type of human birth one has.
