A commonly quoted live figure is about 406 Digambar monks (including Acharya, Ailacharya, Upadhyay and Muni).

Because munis constantly take deeksha and also attain samadhi/moksha, this number keeps changing, so it should always be taken as an approximate, current estimate, not a fixed count.
