• Rani Padmini (Padmavati) of Chittor is generally described as a Hindu Rajput queen, wife of Rawal Ratan Singh (Ratnasimha) of Mewar.
• Some Jain poets and monks in Rajasthan have retold the Padmavati / Padmini story in their own Jain literary works, using it symbolically (for example, as an allegory of soul, mind, body, and māyā).
• But these Jain versions do not present her as a Jain queen, only as a character used in a moral or spiritual tale.

So, based on traditional and historical sources, Rani Padmini of Chittor is not considered a Jain; she is regarded as a Hindu Rajput queen whose story was later also used in some Jain literature in a symbolic way.
