> Navkarshi = local sunrise time + 48 minutes

• Today’s sunrise in Surat is around 7:18 am
• So Navkarshi time is roughly 7:18 + 48 minutes ≈ 8:06 am

So, you should start your first intake (water/food) today around 8:05–8:10 am in Surat, after doing Navkar Mantra / prarthna.

A few important points (same in both Śvetāmbara and Digambar traditions in general understanding):

• Do not eat or drink before Navkarshi time.
• Navkarshi is the earliest allowed time for first food/drink, not the last time.
• Exact minutes may vary 2–3 minutes based on:

- Which sunrise time your local Jain saṅgh/derasar follows - Printed Jain panchāng or app they are using

So for full accuracy, follow your local upāśray/derasar timing if they publish a daily Navkarshi list; otherwise, using sunrise + 48 minutes as above is perfectly in line with Jain practice.
