Hight at videhkhetra
In Jain cosmology, the height of human beings in Mahā‑Videh (Videh) Kṣetra is described very clearly:
- Average human height:
“Dhanush” is an ancient unit of length; scriptures don’t convert it into modern feet/meters, but they make it clear that people there are enormously taller than humans in our Bharat Kṣetra.
- This same standard (500 dhanush) is also used for Tirthankars currently present in Mahā‑Videh Kṣetra, like Shri Simandhar Swami.
So, when we speak of “height in Videh Kṣetra” in Jain Dharma, we usually mean: > All human beings there have a body height of about 500 dhanush.
