Who is the creator
In Jainism, there is no single creator of the universe.
- The universe (loka) has no beginning and no end. It is eternal.
- It is made of six eternal substances (dravya):
- So Jain Dharma clearly says:
What about “God” in Jainism?
- Jains respect and worship Arihant and Siddha as “Bhagwan” (God).
- But they are not creators.
- They are perfect examples and teachers, not makers of the universe.
Both Digambar and Shwetambar traditions agree:
- No creator God of the universe.
- Liberated souls are supreme beings, worthy of worship, but not creators.
