In Jain philosophy, Kevalgyan (omniscience) is almost always attained after taking diksha (becoming a sadhu/sadhvi), not while remaining a normal grihastha (householder).

1. General Jain siddhānt

• To get Kevalgyan, a soul must completely destroy the four ghāti karmas.
• Practically, this level of purity is achieved after full renunciation – i.e., in the state of muni / aryika / sadhvi, not while living an ordinary married family life.
• Therefore, all 24 Tirthankars of this avasarpini, and famous Kevalis like Gautam Swami, etc., attained Kevalgyan after diksha, not as grihastha.

2. Special cases sometimes mentioned

In Jain kathā and vartās you will read:

• Some kings, queens, or rich householders (like King Suvrat, in the Maun Ekadashi story) are described as:

- doing very intense tapa and dharm in grihastha life, - then doing special vrats (like Ekadashi for many years), - and finally attaining Kevalgyan.

• But if you read carefully, the final state of Kevalgyan is either:

- after they have in effect given up all attachment (inner renunciation), or - after they have taken some form of diksha / full vow just before Kevalgyan.

So, these are not examples of a normal grihasthi, enjoying regular household life and suddenly getting Kevalgyan.

3. Conclusion in simple words

• No example in Jain siddhānt of someone remaining a regular grihastha (with full household lifestyle, possessions, attachments) and still attaining Kevalgyan.
• Whenever Kevalgyan is attained, the person is in a state of complete inner and outer renunciation – effectively no longer a worldly grihastha, even if the story still refers to them by their old title (king, etc.).

So, according to traditional Jain understanding: Kevalgyan and “true” grihastha dasha do not coexist.
