How you describe ones nature future etc with their facial and body features
In Jainism, a person’s real nature and future are not read from the face or body shape, but are understood through karma and inner qualities.
Very simply:
- Real nature is of the soul, not the body
- The soul (jiv) is pure, full of knowledge and bliss. - The body, face, height, colour, etc. are only results of past karmas (nāma‑karma: body-making karma). - So Jain dharma does not teach that from the nose, eyes, forehead lines etc. you can exactly know a person’s character or future.
- What do body and birth show in Jain view?
They show only this: - Type of body (healthy/sick, strong/weak) = result of past karmas. - Place and family of birth (rich/poor, religious/violent family) = result of past karmas. - Certain special marks (like the 108 auspicious signs of a Tirthankar, lānchhans, etc.) are described in scriptures, but these are extraordinary, not for ordinary people.
- Can we predict future from the face?
- Jain scriptures do not give a system of “face reading” or “palm reading” for common people’s future. - They clearly say: future changes by present karma – by your current thoughts, speech and actions. - If you change your bhāv (inner attitude), you change the bandh (new karmas) and therefore you change your future.
- How to understand someone’s nature in Jain way?
Instead of looking at face and body, look at: - How they speak (truthful or hurtful?) - How they act (non‑violent or cruel?) - How they use wealth and power (attached or detached?) - Their consistency in dharma, compassion, self‑control. This shows their present bhāv much better than physical looks.
- Summary in pure Jain spirit
- Face and body = fruits of old karmas. - Present thoughts and conduct = seeds of future. - So Jainism teaches: do not judge or fix someone’s nature or future only from their outward form; focus on purifying your own karma through right faith, right knowledge and right conduct.
