Darshanāvarniya karma does not affect your physical eyesight. It affects your inner vision (darshan) – how you perceive and trust reality and dharma.

More clearly:

• Not about the eyes:

It does not make you blind or weak‑eyed. That is due to nāma and vedanīya etc., not darshanāvarniya.

• It covers right perception:

It puts a veil over: - samyag‑darshan (right faith in tattvas), - clarity, trust, and openness towards truth, - your ability to “see” things as they really are at the level of perception.

• Affects both worldly and spiritual view:

- Worldly side: You mis‑perceive people, situations, and even your own self. You are easily confused, doubtful, prejudiced, or one‑sided. - Spiritual side (main effect): You do not clearly “see”: - the soul (jīva), - karma and its fruits, - bondage and liberation, - the value of right path, Guru, scriptures.

So your vision of dharma becomes dull, doubtful, or distorted.

In short:

• Jñānāvarniya blocks knowing (knowledge).
• Darshanāvarniya blocks seeing/trusting (perception/faith).
• Mohaniya then makes you attached, angry, proud, greedy toward what you see/know.

So, darshanāvarniya karma mainly affects your inner spiritual vision, but because that same inner vision is what you use to look at the whole world, it practically affects both your view of dharma and your view of the real world.
