What we can guve as prabhwana after panchkalyanak puja
After Pañchkalyāṇak pūjā, “prabhāvanā” means spreading and honouring Jain dharma, not just giving a return gift. So choose things that increase samyak-darshan, ahimsā and bhakti.
You can give, for example:
- Dharmic items (best prabhāvanā)
- Small Jain books / booklets – on Pañchkalyāṇak, life of that Tīrthankar, Navkār mantra, basic Jain principles. - Photo / laminated card of Bhagwān, Navkār mantra, or Jinālaya. - Stavan / pravachan audio (pen drive, CD) if people will actually use it. - Small pūjā items: ashtamangal picture, small chowki photo, japmālā, etc.
- Dān and sādharmaik-sevā
- Grain kits, grocery, clothes, umbrellas, bedsheets for poor sādharmaiks. - Donation to gaushālā / panjarāpol in the name of the Pañchkalyāṇak and inform all bhaktas. - Arranging pāni-piyau, bird water pots, or tree plantation as prabhāvanā.
- Edible prabhāvanā (strictly Jain, ahiṁsak)
- Dry fruits, kharek, mamra, til-laddu, chikki, roasted chana, dry nashto, mishri, saunf/mukhvās etc. - All items: - without eggs, honey, alcohol, gelatin - without onion–garlic and unnecessary root vegetables - check for insects in figs, dates, etc.
- According to traditions
- Śvetāmbara: generally more use of printed literature, photos, prasad packets. - Digambara: often more emphasis on dān (grain, useful items) and supporting sadhu–sadhvijis / needy sādharmaiks. In both, the uttam prabhāvanā is that which inspires samyaktva, sādhana, and ahimsā in receivers.
If you keep this simple rule, you will choose correctly: “Jo vastu se dharma-smaraṇ, gyan, virāg aur ahimsā badhe – vahi sreshth prabhāvanā hai.”
