During puja in temple what to do all in varshitap
During Varshitap, your main focus in the temple should be bhav-puja (inner devotion), not long or showy rituals. Here is a simple guideline for “mandir mein puja mein kya karein?” during Varshitap:
---
1. Go with the right bhav
- Enter temple calmly, with Maafi-bhav and Namokar mantra on lips/mind.
- Keep maun (silence) as much as possible, avoid gossip and phone use.
---
2. In front of Bhagwan (murtipujak tradition)
If your health and local maryada allow:
- Namaskar
- Stand or sit in front of Bhagwan. - Fold hands, slowly recite: - Navkar Mantra (at least 9, 27, or 108 times, as possible) - “Ucchavassaggaharanenam…” or simple “Shri Adinath Bhagwan ki bhakti”.
- Dravya-puja (if allowed & you have taken such niyam)
- Do very simple: - 1–2 aangi / pushpa / akshat / dhoop / deep only, without showing off. - Many Varshitap sadhaks take niyam of only bhav-puja, no big dravya-puja. Follow whatever your guru / panth has given.
- Bhav-puja (most important)
- Do Samayik in temple or at home (if you can). - Mentally do: - Chaityavandan (Logassa, Jaya Viyaraya, Uvasaggaharam, etc.) - Rishabhdev Bhagwan ni charitra / stavans (because Varshitap is linked to Adinath Bhagwan).
---
3. What to do on fasting days (upvas day)
- Go to mandir (if strength allows) only for:
- Avoid:
- More focus on:
---
4. What to do on “beshan / biyasan” (eating) days
- Before eating:
- After finishing your meal:
---
5. Daily minimum during Varshitap (very simple list)
Try to keep at least this much every day:
- Navkar Mantra – fixed count (e.g. 108 or more).
- Samayik – even short (12–24 minutes), but with full concentration.
- Swadhyay – read/listen:
- Rishabhdev Bhagwan’s life, or - Simple Jain granths / stavans.
- Pratikraman / Alochana – accept your day’s mistakes in front of Bhagwan and ask for forgiveness.
- Aparigrah & Ahimsa – talk less, be polite, help others, avoid anger, criticism and attachment.
---
6. Sect-wise small note
- Śvetāmbara murtipujak:
- Digambar:
Always remember: Bhav is more important than bahya kriya. Even if you only sit 5–10 minutes before Bhagwan with pure heart, that is a very good mandir-puja during Varshitap.
