In Jainism, Bharat Maharaja and Pundarik are related as brothers. Both are sons of Lord Rishabhanatha (also known as Adinath), who is the first Tirthankara in the current time cycle (Avasarpini).

Bharat Maharaja is renowned as the first Chakravarti (universal emperor) and is considered the elder son of Rishabhanatha. The land of India (Bharatavarsha) is said to be named after him.

Pundarik is one of the 99 sons of Rishabhanatha. According to Jain texts, Rishabhanatha had a hundred sons, with Bharat being the eldest and Bahubali also being one of the prominent sons. Pundarik is listed among these brothers.

Thus, in Jain tradition, Bharat Maharaja and Pundarik are brothers, both sons of the first Tirthankara, Rishabhanatha.
