In Indian tradition, the weekday “Wednesday” is called Budh-vār and is linked with the planet Budh (Mercury). So the “god of Wednesday” is commonly called Budh Dev.

From the Jain point of view:

• Jains do not give spiritual importance to weekday gods like “Budh Dev.”
• In Jain Dharma, true refuge is only in Arihant, Siddha, Sadhu and Dharma.
• Planet‑gods (graha dev) or weekday gods are celestial beings (devas), still in the cycle of birth and death, not creators and not givers of moksha.
