I have spontaneous doubts creeping in my mind if moksh is really there, did Lord mahaveer really in moksh etc despite firm faith in panch parmeshthi, I'm afraid if I'm samyagdrishti, am I falling down back into mithyatva ? How do I remedy this?

What you are feeling is actually very common on the spiritual path, and Jain Dharma has very clear ways to understand and handle it.

    1. Are such doubts equal to mithyātva?

In Jain view, two things are different:

    1. Temporary thoughts arising in the mind

    – These come from moha-karmas and old habits. – A thought like “Is moksha really there? Is Mahavira really liberated?” can just be a passing vikalp (mental wave).

    1. Firm inner conviction (darshan)

    – This is your deep stand: - “There is soul.” - “There is karma.” - “Moksha is possible.” - “The Jinas are perfectly liberated.” – This is called samyak-darshan / samkit.

You are afraid of losing samyak-darshan – that itself shows:

    • You value Panch Parmeshti.
    • You want moksha.
    • You do not like these doubts.

This is not full mithyātva. In mithyātva, the person:

    • Either denies these truths, or
    • Becomes careless, indifferent and comfortable without faith.

You are uncomfortable with the doubt. That is a sign of sensitivity of faith, not its absence.

    2. How to look at these doubts correctly

    Think of it like this:

    • A cloud came in the sky → that is the doubtful thought.
    • The sky itself is still there → that is your deeper faith.

    Problem starts only when:

    • We accept the doubt as truth,
    • Stop doing swadhyāy, bhakti, sādhanā,
    • Or start arguing against dharma in our mind or with others.

    If instead you respond like:

    • “This is just my karma, not truth. I bow to Jina’s words.”
    then samyak-darshan actually becomes stronger.

    3. Practical remedies to strengthen samyak-darshan

Use the doubt as fuel to deepen faith.

    (A) Daily inner practice

    1. Namokār Mantra with clear bhaav

    - Especially focus on lines of Siddha and Arihant: - “They are free from all karmas, forever.” - Think: “Bhagwan Mahavira is in siddha-shilā right now, beyond body, beyond birth and death.”

    1. Anuprekshā on moksha (short reflection):

    - “There are souls who have destroyed all karmas.” - “If bondage is real, liberation must also be real.” - “Mahavira’s life, keval-jñān, and teachings are not possible without highest truth.”

    1. Confess the doubt in pratikraman

    - With humility say internally: - “Today in my mind arose ashanka (doubt) about moksha / Mahavira. This is my weakness, not the fault of Dharma. Micchāmi dukkaḍaṃ.” - This weakens the root of doubt.

    (B) Strengthen through right knowledge & satsang

    1. Regular swadhyāy (study)

    - Read or listen to simple explanations of: - Jīva–ajīva, karma, moksha, Panch Parmeshti - Start with basic texts / pravachans explained in simple language. - Clear understanding naturally reduces doubt.

You can also read about samyak-darshan (Samkit) explained in simple words here: and here:

    1. Satsang with samyak-drishti people

    - Listen to true sādhus / sādhvīs / serious sādhaks. - Avoid company / content (videos, articles, debates) that mock or question basic Jain truths just for argument.

    (C) Bhakti and surrender

    1. Navkār / Panch Parmeshti bhakti with specific bhaav

    - When you bow, mentally repeat: - “Namo Arihantāṇam – I bow to those who have seen truth directly.” - “Namo Siddhāṇam – I bow to those permanently in moksha.” - The more you bow with understanding, the less your mind will shake.

    1. Ask forgiveness and strength from within

    - With folded hands, say: - “Hey Jina! I am weak, my faith shakes. Give me strength to see as you have taught. Let my wrong beliefs dissolve.”

This inner humility is a powerful cure for ashanka (doubt).

    4. When should you worry?

    Be cautious if you notice:

    • You like questioning for its own ego-satisfaction.
    • You stop doing bhakti, swadhyāy, or sādhanā because of doubt.
    • You start feeling: “All this is same as other things, nothing special,” and become careless.

    In that case, immediately:

    • Increase satsang,
    • Do more pratikraman,
    • Take some small vow (e.g., daily 15 mins swadhyāy, weekly upvās / ayambil with bhakti) for purification of darshan-mohaniya karma.

    5. Reassurance

    • Even in Jain scriptures, types of samyak-darshan are described (aupaśamik, kṣayopaśamik, etc.).
In the initial stages there are fluctuations; it is not a straight line.
    • Your fear of falling is actually protection – it pushes you back toward the right path.

    So:

    • Do not panic.
    • Do not label yourself as mithyādrishti just because of passing thoughts.
    • Gently but firmly bring your mind back to:
    - “I trust the Jina’s words more than my wandering mind.”

    If you consistently:

    • keep Panch Parmeshti in your heart,
    • do daily pratikraman & swadhyāy,
    • avoid wrong company and arguments,

then these doubts will gradually lose power, and your samyak-darshan will become steadier and calmer.
