So Vidhyadhara Vansh is accepted or not? And Vidhyadhara matang vansh? Its mentioned in jain puranas and consistently.

In Jain Dharma we have to distinguish two things very clearly:

    1. What is described in Jain Purāṇas as part of Jain loka‑vijñāna (cosmology and itihāsa)
    2. What we demand as “historical proof” in the modern sense

    1. Is Vidyādhara vaṃś accepted in Jain scriptures?

    Yes.

    • In many Jain Purāṇas (like Ādi‑Purāṇa, Uttarapurāṇa, Harivaṃśa‑Purāṇa, Paumacariya, Mahābhārata‑kathās, Trīśaṣṭi‑śalākā‑puruṣa‑caritra etc.) you repeatedly find:
    - Vidyādhara, Vidyādhara‑rāja, Vidyādhara‑kul, Vidyādhara‑vaṃś.
    • These are not ordinary human kings; they are a class of vyantara / celestial beings with special vidyās (supernatural powers), living in specific regions of Jambūdvīpa and other parts of Jain universe.
    • Their “vaṃś” (lineage) is fully accepted within the Jain scriptural universe – as part of:
    - the 63 śalākā‑puruṣa stories, - Rāma‑kathā, Kṛṣṇa‑kathā etc. in Jain form.

So: Jain Darshan does accept Vidyādhara and their vaṃśas as part of its own cosmology and narrative tradition.

    2. What about Vidyādhara Mātaṅga vaṃś?

Again, yes – where Jain Purāṇas describe Mātaṅga‑Vidyādhara or Vidyādhara Mātaṅga vaṃś, that is also accepted inside the same framework:

    • “Mātaṅga” here is a specific sub‑group / lineage title within the broader Vidyādhara category.
    • Different texts may give slightly different details, but both Digambar and Śvetāmbara traditions acknowledge Vidyādharas and such lineages in their narrative literature.

    3. But in what sense is it “accepted”?

    Very important point:

    • Jain ācāryas do not present these vaṃśas as:
    - proof for today’s social castes, or - something to build pride/ego on.
    • They are mainly used to:
    - show working of karma, - glorify Tīrthankaras and great souls, - teach vairāgya (detachment): even mighty Vidyādhara kings with huge powers are still in saṃsāra.

    So you can safely say:

    • Yes, Vidyādhara vaṃś and Vidyādhara Mātaṅga vaṃś are part of the accepted Jain scriptural tradition, as repeatedly mentioned in Jain Purāṇas.
    • But they are to be understood as cosmic/narrative lineages of celestial beings, not as present‑day historical or social “castes” to claim superiority, etc.

If your concern is: “Are these against Jain philosophy or just later additions?” → They fit within Jain cosmology, and are used in Jain texts to support Jain tattva (karma, guṇa‑sthāna, mokṣa‑mārga), not to contradict it.
