I mean 3 jain idols found at mana village akola

    6 months ago 150

Those 3 Jain idols from Mana village (Akola) refer to a real recent discovery in Maharashtra.

    • Date and place – On 31 March 2023, while digging for the foundation of a house in Mana village (Murtizapur taluka, Akola district), three stone Jain idols were found underground. ( indiankanoon.org)

    • Which idols were found According to the district notification and reports, the three murtis are of: ( pudhari.news)

    1. Bhagwan Neminath (22nd Tirthankar)
    2. Bhagwan Sambhavnath (3rd Tirthankar)
    3. Bhagwan Mahavir (24th Tirthankar)

    • Approximate period Museum experts have indicated that the idols are ancient, likely from around the 11th–12th century, so they are of high historical and archaeological importance as well as religious importance. ( indiankanoon.org)

    • Current status (in simple words) – After discovery, the idols were handed over to the authorities and kept safely. ( theprint.in) – There have been proceedings about where the idols should be kept (which trust/mandir, etc.), because both Digambar and Shwetambar trusts have made claims, and the administration has been taking opinions from experts. ( indiankanoon.org)

    • Jain dharmic view (simple understanding) – Such underground discoveries (bhettī or prāchin pratima milnā) are considered very pavitra (holy) in Jain tradition. – Whether Digambar or Shwetambar, these are images of Tirthankars, so they should be: - Treated with utmost respect (shraddhā and samyaktā). - Ultimately installed in a proper Jain Jinalay with correct rituals, protection, and regular pujā / vidhis, according to the sect that is finally decided by authorities and samaj. – For a Jain, the main focus is not the legal dispute but: - Developing deep bhakti for the Tirthankars whose idols have appeared. - Avoiding any kind of violence, anger, or fights over the idols. - Supporting a peaceful, dharmic solution so that the murtis remain in Jain worship forever.

If you want, I can explain the basic significance of Neminath, Sambhavnath, and Mahavir Bhagwan individually in very simple words.
