i am a hindu girl but I love a jain boy

From a Jain point of view, the main question is not “Hindu or Jain”, but:

    • Are both of you truthful and respectful?
    • Can you both live with ahimsa (non‑violence) as much as possible?
    • Can you honestly support each other’s spiritual path?

Some simple points to think about:

    1. Religion difference itself is not “sin” in Jainism

Jain dharma focuses on your karma and conduct, not your birth or label. Many Jains do marry outside their community today. The difficulty is usually social (family, relatives, customs), not scriptural.

    1. Practical challenges you must discuss with him

Especially in a Jain household: - Food: pure vegetarian, usually no egg, many avoid onion–garlic, all avoid meat and alcohol. - Festivals and rituals: Will you be comfortable participating in Jain puja, Paryushan, pratikraman atmosphere, etc.? - Children: What will the child follow? Will both families accept that? These are not small issues; decide them before marriage.

    1. Respect for each other’s dharma

From Jain ethics, forcing, lying to parents, or cheating them is also wrong. - Try to keep satya (truth) and ahimsa in mind while handling family. - Avoid running away, hiding, or creating hatred if it can be avoided. - Calm, honest conversation with both families is spiritually better, even if it is slow and painful.

    1. Your own inner clarity

Ask yourself: - Do I love only his nature, or also his way of life and values? - If tomorrow his family expects strict Jain food rules, can I follow happily, not with anger? - If one day he becomes more serious in Jain dharma (temple, tapas, vows), will I support or oppose?

If you feel inner peace while imagining this life, then the path is more suitable. If you feel constant fear, anger, or guilt, think again calmly.

    1. From Jain dharma side

    - Marriage is seen as a social arrangement where two people help each other reduce bad karma and live ethically. - The best marriage (for a Jain) is where the home becomes a place of daya (compassion), satya, aparigraha (simplicity). If you both can aim for this, difference of birth‑religion is secondary.

In summary: Loving a Jain boy is not wrong in Jainism. But you both should think deeply, talk honestly with each other and with your families, and choose a path that keeps dharma, truth, and non‑violence at the center of your decision.
