Means can I worship ganpati Krishna shiv ambe maata with thinking that they are not supreme but only dev devi
In Jain dharma the main points are:
- Who is “supreme”?
- Only Panch Parmeshti are the highest: - Arihant - Siddha - Acharya - Upadhyaya - Sadhu - They are the true object of param bhakti and namokar mantra.
- Ganpati, Krishna, Shiv, Amba etc. from Jain view
- They can exist as dev–devi (heavenly beings or great souls) in the universe. - But they are not creators of the world, not “God” in the Jain sense, and not above Arihant–Siddha. - They are also samsari at some time, bound by karma, just at a higher gati.
- Can you bow to / respect them as dev–devi?
- If in your drashti (inner belief) you are very clear: - “They are not supreme, not creators, not moksha‑giver. I only respect them as dev–devi / great souls.” - And your main, daily bhakti is still to Arihant–Siddha and Navkar Mantra, then this does not fit the Jain definition of mithyatva as strongly as believing them to be “Bhagwan – creator”.
- But acharyas still advise caution
- Repeated puja, aarti, vows, mannat, etc. to such dev–devi EASILY slips into: - “They will remove my paap / give me moksha / they control destiny” → this is mithyatva. - It also creates moha (attachment) and more worldly desires. - Therefore, Jain acharyas strongly tell us to keep bhakti single‑pointed towards Jinendra and Panch Parmeshti.
- Practical guideline (simple)
- Best (ideal Jain way): - Do only: Navkar, Jinendra Puja, Stotra, Samayik, Pratikraman. - Do not keep separate mandir / murtis of Ganpati, Krishna, Shiv, Amba etc. for daily worship. - If your family already does it: - Keep it as family/cultural respect, - Inside you remain very firm: “My real refuge is only in Arihant–Siddha; these are not supreme, not moksha‑data.” - Slowly increase Jain bhakti and reduce dependence on other dev–devi.
Summary: Yes, you may mentally see them only as dev–devi, not supreme. But according to Jain dharma, true, pure bhakti should be reserved only for Panch Parmeshti. So try to move your heart more and more towards Navkar mantra and Jinendra bhakti, and avoid any belief that Ganpati, Krishna, Shiv, Ambe Mata etc. are creators, supreme God, or givers of moksha.
