How to do bhav pooja sammed shikarji

    6 months ago 111

I’ll explain bhāv pūjā of Sammed Shikharji in a very simple way, so you can do it daily from home (or before/after actual yatra).

You are asking about bhāv pūjā, so focus is on:

    • मन (mind)
    • भावना (feelings)
    • स्मरण (remembrance of siddha-bhagwān on Sammed Shikharji)

Below is a simple, flexible method. You can adjust words in Hindi/Gujarati as you like.

    ---

    1. Preparation (2–3 minutes)

    1. Choose a clean, quiet place.
    2. Sit on a asan (mat), keep:

    - Photo/idol of any Tirthankar or Sammed Shikharji (if available), or just imagine in mind.

    1. Do 3–5 Navkār Mantra slowly, with full attention.

    Inner bhāv: > “आज मैं समेद शिखरजी के सिद्ध भगवानों की भक्ति कर रहा/रही हूँ।”

    ---

    2. Mental Darshan of the Tirth (Visualization)

Close eyes and mentally go to Sammed Shikharji:

    • Imagine: Early morning, fresh air, green jungle, long पर्वत-मार्ग.
    • You are walking barefoot, taking dharm-labh at Bhomiyaji, then starting
    • One by one, tonks of Tirthankars are coming; you bow with folded hands.

You can think in simple sentences like:

Stay in this feeling for 1–2 minutes.

    ---

    3. Sammed Shikharji Bhāv Pooja – Simple Steps

You can do this as 10–15 minute daily practice.

Step 1: Namaskar to Siddhas of Shikharji

Say (in your own language, or similar):

    Then recite:

    • 1, 3, or 9 times Navkār Mantra – thinking specially of Sammed Shikharji siddhas.

    ---

    Step 2: Kṣamā Yāchanā (Forgiveness)

Silently recall: walking, talking, eating, social media, business, etc. – any हिंसक / कषायी / मिथ्यादृष्टि work.

    Say:

Stay silent 1 minute, feel lightness.

    ---

Step 3: Spiritual Aspirations (Icchā / Sankalp)

Make 3 simple sankalp related to Shikharji:

    Examples:

    Say:

    ---

Step 4: Shikharji Stuti / Bhajan (Optional)

If you know any Sammed Shikharji stavan/bhajan, sing or recite 1–2 verses.

If you don’t know any special stavan, simply repeat:

    or:

Slowly, with feeling, for 2–3 minutes.

    ---

Step 5: Silent Meditation (2–5 minutes)

    • Sit straight, close eyes.
    • Focus either on:
    - Navkār Mantra silently, or - Just the feeling: “सिद्ध भगवान निराकार, अशरीरी, सुखस्वरूप हैं; मुझे भी उसी मार्ग पर चलना है।”

If mind wanders, gently bring it back.

    ---

    Step 6: Mangalik / Conclusion

    End with a short mangalik:

Do 1 Khamāsamana or simple

    ---

If You Are Doing Actual Yatra (Short Bhāv-Pūjā During Climb)

While climbing Sammed Shikharji, bhāv pūjā can be:

    • Walk in silence as much as possible.
    • At every important tonk:
    - 3/5/9 times Navkār Mantra.
    • Avoid:
    - Loud gossip, jokes, mobile distraction. - खाने–पीने की बातें, business talks, etc. on hill.

This itself becomes living bhāv pūjā.

    ---

    Digambar / Shwetambar Note

    • Both traditions respect Sammed Shikharji as मुख्य सिद्धक्षेत्र, where 20 Tirthankars and innumerable munis attained moksha.( jainknowledge.com)
    • External rituals (dravya pūjā, dress, tonk sequence) may differ, but:
    - Inner bhāv – namaskar to siddhas, kṣamā, tyāg, samyaktva – is same.
    • The above bhāv pūjā is neutral, usable by both.

    ---

Very Short Daily Version (5 minutes)

If you are busy, you can at least do this:

    1. Sit, 3 Navkār.
    2. Imagine Sammed Shikharji for 1 minute.
    3. Say:

    1. 1–2 minutes silent Navkār or just watch breath with feeling of siddha–pad.
    2. End with 1 Khamāsamana / Namaskar.

    ---

If you want, I can also give you a ready-made short Hindi/Gujarati text that you can print and read daily as “Sammed Shikharji Bhāv-Pūjā Pāth.”
