Who was revati
In Jain tradition, Revati (Revatī) is mainly known as:
- The wife (patnī) of Balabhadra / Baladeva (Balarām) – the elder brother of Vāsudeva Krishna – in the Jain Harivaṁśa / Vasudeva–Balabhadra stories.
- She is described as a princess, usually the daughter of King Raivata, and is part of the life‑story of Balabhadra, who is one of the 63 Śalākā Puruṣas in Jain Puranic literature.
Both Śvetāmbara and Digambara traditions accept her in this basic role, though details of her life may vary slightly in different texts.
