In Jain cosmology:

• Bharat Kshetra (Bharata-kshetra) is one specific region of Jambudweep (the central continent of the middle world).
• According to Jain acharyas, the land where we are presently born (our Earth’s human world, especially the Indian subcontinent and surrounding region) is within Bharat Kshetra, but:

- Bharat Kshetra ≠ the entire physical Earth/globe. - It is a cosmological region, not exactly the same as the modern scientific map of Earth. ( jainknowledge.com)

So, in Jain terms we say:

• “We are currently living in Bharat Kshetra of Jambudweep.”
• But this is said according to Jain loka‑prakruti (cosmology), not according to astronomy or geography textbooks.

Both Digambar and Shwetambar traditions accept this basic point: our present human world (where the 24 Tirthankars of this time‑cycle took birth) is in Bharat Kshetra of Jambudweep, not in Mahavideh or Airavat.
