In Jainism, the extremely high ages and heights of Tirthankaras belong to earlier eras of the time‑cycle (utsarpini/avasarpini) when, according to Jain doctrine, human bodies, life‑spans and environmental conditions were vastly different from what we see now. Calling Jainism “scientific” means that it is based on fixed natural laws and a precise cosmic time‑model, not that every detail must match present‑day human biology or modern laboratory science.
