In Jainism, the very large ages and heights of Tirthankaras are linked to different time‑cycles (kālchakra) in which human bodies and lifespans were naturally much greater than today, so the texts are describing beings of that era, not present‑day humans. Jain Dharma is “scientific” mainly in the sense of giving a precise, cause‑and‑effect law of karma and soul‑purification, not in the sense of matching today’s physical science measurements.
