In Jainism, the very high ages and heights of Tirthankaras belong to earlier time‑cycles (aras) when, according to Jain cosmology, human bodies, life‑spans and environmental conditions were vastly different from today, so they are not meant to match current biological limits. Calling Jainism “scientific” refers to its logical, law‑based view of karma, non‑violence, and soul‑progress, not to saying that every traditional cosmological detail must fit present‑day physical science.
