For Varshitap in the year 2026, the main dates are:

Lunar (Jain) tithis:

• Sankalp / Start: Chaitra Shukla Ashtami
• Pārṇā (completion): Vaiśākh Shukla Tritiyā (Akṣay Tritiyā)

Gregorian (English) dates for 2026:

• Varshitap Arambh (start): Monday, 9 March 2026
• Varshitap Pārṇā (Akshay Tritiya): Saturday, 18 April 2026

Between these two dates, Varshitap is usually done as:

• Ekāsan / Upvās on alternate days for the full Varshitap period (about 13 months in the original Lord Ṛṣabhdev’s tap, but for community Varshitap now, the main “Chaitra to Akshay Tritiya” phase is observed very intensely).
• Exact pattern (only upvās, or ekāsan–upvās mix, or other niyam) should be fixed with your guru / pánch / Ācārya.

About a “Varshitap calendar” for 2026:

• Different Jain saṅghs publish detailed Varshitap calendars (showing every tithi with “fast / bhojan” etc.) based on their preferred panchāng.
• For doing proper sankalp, you should follow:

- Your local Jain panchāng for 2026 (Digambar / Śvetāmbara as per your tradition), or - The Varshitap diary / booklet issued by your sangh.
