I need my bhat
In many Indian languages, “bhat” means cooked rice or food.
From a Jain point of view, if you are saying “I need my bhat / food,” just remember a few simple things:
- Ahimsak (non‑violent) food
- Prefer vegetarian / vegan food without eggs. - Avoid honey, root vegetables (for strict Jains), and anything involving unnecessary himsā (violence).
- Mindful eating (Jain way)
- Eat with gratitude, remembering countless subtle lives involved even in plant food. - Avoid anger, disturbance, or phone/TV while eating – it increases inner kashāyas (anger, pride, deceit, greed). - Don’t waste food; wasting also increases karmic bondage.
- Timing (for those who follow it)
- Many Jains avoid eating at night to reduce himsā. - Try to finish your “bhat” before sunset if you are following this vow.
If you meant something else by “bhat” (like a person’s name, a ritual, etc.), tell me more and I will explain it from a Jain dharma perspective.
