Menu for Harshita biyasana in evening

    6 months ago 80

Here is a simple, Jain-friendly evening menu idea, assuming:

    • Harshita is doing normal Jain bhojan (no underground vegetables, no eggs, etc.)
    • “Biyasana” here means she is allowed to eat in the evening (not doing upvas / upvas + biyasana rules).

If your rules are stricter than this, you can adjust quantities or items.

    ---

    1. Pehle – Garam Peya (Warm drink)

    • Garam pani or jeera-ajwain water
    - Helps digestion, very light on the body.

    ---

    2. Mukhya Bhojan (Main plate)

Try to keep it light, simple, less oily, less spicy.

    (A) Roti / Dalia option

    • 1–2 phulka/roti
    - Made with wheat flour, no ghee (or very little, if allowed).
    • 1 halki sabzi (without potato, onion, garlic, underground items) like:
    - Ghiya (lauki) sabzi - Tinda sabzi - Tori sabzi - Parwal sabzi (simple tadka with jeera, hing, haldi, dhaniya, salt; minimum oil)
    • 1 katori daal
    - Moong daal or masoor (if allowed in your tradition), again light and thin.
    • 1 chhoti katori dahi (if curd is permitted in the evening as per your maryada; many Jains avoid dahi at night).

    (B) Khichdi option (if she wants very light food)

    • Moong dal khichdi (without onion/garlic, less oil, haldi + jeera + hing)
    • With boiled lauki / tori pieces inside to make it more nutritious and still light.

    ---

    3. Side / Salad

    • Kakdi (cucumber) slices
    • Gajar (carrot) slices (if seasonally suitable)
    • Thoda sa dhaniya-pudina chutney (without onion, garlic, and not too spicy)

Avoid too many raw items very late in the evening if digestion is weak.

    ---

    4. Antim (Last)

    • If allowed in your house-rule:
    - 1 chhoti katori warm milk (haldi milk or plain) - Or garam saunf water for digestion.

    ---

Dhyan rakhne wali baatein (Jain point of view)

    • Bhojan suryast ke baad jitna kam ho sake, utna achchha (depending on your tradition).
    • Bhojan shant man se, dhyan se, ahimsak bhaav se karein.
    • No underground vegetables (aaloo, pyaaz, lasun, adrak, mooli, etc.).
    • Avoid fermented and very heavy food (pizza, bhature, very oily items) in evening.

    ---

    If you tell me:

    • Harshita ki age,
    • Kya woh upvaas / beyasan / ekasana karti hain,
    • Aur aapki ghar ki maryada (e.g., dahi raat me mana hai, milk mana hai, etc.),

then this menu can be made even more exact for her.
