In Jainism, there is no belief in a creator god who governs the universe or grants favors. Instead, Jain philosophy teaches that the universe is eternal, without beginning or end, and operates according to its own natural laws.

Jains do, however, revere perfected souls called Tirthankaras (such as Lord Mahavira and Lord Parshvanatha) who have attained liberation (moksha) through self-realization, right conduct, and complete elimination of karmas. These liberated souls are called Siddhas and are considered divine because they have achieved ultimate knowledge and bliss, but they do not intervene in worldly affairs.

Therefore, in Jainism, divinity is associated with the quality of spiritual perfection rather than with a creator god. The focus is on self-effort, personal responsibility, and the path to liberation.
