• 1 day upvaas (no food, only boiled water in fixed time)
• Next day biyasana / ekasana (one proper meal, usually in the day)
• Then again upvaas, then biyasana… alternate like this till Pārṇā (completion on Akshaya Tritiya).

From there, the pattern is:

• Day 1 – Thu 26 March 2026 – Upvaas
• Day 2 – Fri 27 March – Biyasana
• Day 3 – Sat 28 March – Upvaas
• Day 4 – Sun 29 March – Biyasana
• …and so on, always:

Pārṇā (last day) will be on Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya (Akshaya Tritiya) according to the Jain calendar. Exact English date can differ by region and local panchāng, so you should:

• Check your local Jain Panchāng / temple notice, or

Different regions (and even some sanghs abroad) are showing slightly different start/Parnā dates for Varshitap 2026, so it is safest to follow the panchāng your guru / derāsar follows.
