In Jain scriptures, “14 lakh manushya‑yoni” does not mean there is a written list of 14,00,000 separate human names or species.

It means:

• In the Saat Laakh Sutra, total 84 lakh jiva‑yoni (birth‑places / forms of life) are mentioned.
• Out of these, 14 lakh (1,400,000) are human births (manushya‑yoni).
• This number covers all kinds of human births:

- All human beings in the regions where humans exist (like Bharat, Airavat, Mahavideh etc. as per Jain cosmology). - All lands, castes, communities, colours, languages, bodies, wealth‑levels etc. - All differences caused by karmas (health, strength, beauty, lifespan, intelligence, etc.).

• Humans are only garbhaja (born from a womb); there is no sammūrchchhan (spontaneous) birth for humans in Jainism.

So:

• Both Shvetambar and Digambar traditions accept the number “14 lakh manushya‑yoni” as part of the 84 lakh jiva‑yoni.
• No Jain Agam or later text gives a full item‑by‑item list of all 14,00,000 manushya‑yoni. The number is a cosmic count, not a catalogue.

The Saat Laakh Sutra line is:

> “चौदह लाख मनुष्य, इस तरह चौरासी लाख जीव-योनि…” > “Fourteen lakh humans; in this way (there are) eighty‑four lakh jiva‑yoni…”
