List of week days for tirthankar
In Jain tradition, for Tirthankar Bhagwans we mainly record:
- Maas (month – e.g. Chaitra, Vaishakh, etc.)
- Paksh (Shukla / Krishna)
- Tithi (lunar date – e.g. 13th, 14th, Poonam, Amas)
- Kalyanak (Garbh, Janma, Diksha, Kevaljnan, Nirvan)
- Nagri / place (Ayodhya, Kundalpur, etc.)
The day of the week (Sunday, Monday, etc.) is generally not given in the original Jain scriptures for the 24 Tirthankars.
So:
- There is no single, authentic “list of weekdays” for all 24 Tirthankars’ births in the core Agams / canonical texts.
- Different modern Jain calendars may calculate weekdays using astronomy, but these are later calculations, not a standard scriptural list.
- Both Śvetāmbara and Digambara traditions focus on tithi and month, not on weekday.
Because of this, a precise “week‑day list” (Sunday to Saturday for each of the 24) cannot be given as a strictly scriptural Jain list.
