Stanakwasi Paryushan 2025
In Jainism, Paryushan is a highly significant annual festival observed by both major sects: Shwetambar and Digambar. Among Shwetambars, there are two primary sub-sects—Murtipujak and Sthanakwasi. Sthanakwasi Jains also celebrate Paryushan, typically for 8 days.
Paryushan 2025 Dates for Sthanakwasi: For Sthanakwasi Jains, Paryushan generally begins a day after the Murtipujak Shwetambar sect starts their festival. In 2025, the Sthanakwasi Paryushan is expected to start on Saturday, 23 August 2025 and conclude on Saturday, 30 August 2025. The festival culminates with Samvatsari, the day of forgiveness.

- The last day, Samvatsari, is observed with pratikraman (introspection and repentance), and asking for forgiveness (Micchami Dukkadam).
Please note: Dates may vary slightly depending on local traditions and the lunar calendar, so it is advisable to confirm with your local Jain community.
