For the Jain community, Chaturmas (Chaumasa) 2026 will be:

• Start of Chaturmas (Devshayani Ekadashi)

Date: Monday, 27 July 2026 Tithi: Āṣāḍh Shukla Ekādashi

• End of Chaturmas (Prabodhini / Devuthāni Ekadashi)

Date: Friday, 20 November 2026 Tithi: Kārtik Shukla Ekādashi

In Jain tradition:

• For sādhus–sādhvīs (monks and nuns), the Varṣā‑yog (rainy‑season stay in one place) is observed between these two Ekādashis.
• Gṛhasth (lay followers) also treat this four‑month period as a special time for extra sādhanā – pratikraman, svādhyāy, anuprekṣā, tapa, etc.
• Many sanghs especially highlight the four “Chaumāsī Chaudas” (Ashāḍh, Shrāvaṇ, Bhādrapad, Kārtik Shukla Chaturdaśī) for pratimā, upvās, and other vrats.

Small variations of one calendar day can occur by country (India vs. UK/US, etc.) because of time zone and local panchāng, so your local Jain sangh’s calendar should be treated as final for practical observance.
