In Jainism, one sāgaropam (sagaropam) is an extremely large unit of time.

According to Jain scriptures and traditional explanations:

• 1 sāgaropam = 10 kroḍ‑kroḍ (10 crore‑crore) palyopam ( jainworld.jainworld.com)
• 1 palyopam itself = innumerable (asaṅkhyāta) years – it cannot be counted in ordinary years. ( jainworld.jainworld.com)

So:

> One sāgaropam is equal to “countless, innumerable years” – it cannot be expressed exactly in normal years.

Some modern writers try to approximate it in scientific numbers, but in authentic Jain tradition, sāgaropam is intentionally kept as a measure of almost unimaginable time, not a fixed number of ordinary years.
