In Jain Dharma, Navkāshi (Navkarsi) time is always calculated from local sunrise, not fixed by the clock.

Rule:

• Navkāshi ≈ 48 minutes after sunrise in your city.

So for Mumbai:

1. Find today’s sunrise time for Mumbai (from weather app, Google, or Jain panchāng).
2. Add about 48 minutes.

- Example: if sunrise is at 6:30 am, Navkāshi will be around 7:18 am.

Different sanghs may keep a gap of 45–60 minutes after sunrise, so:

• Always follow the timing printed in your local Jain panchāng, or
• Ask at your nearest Jain temple for the exact Navkāshi time they follow.
