In Jain tradition, Varshitap is a year‑long tapasya, not just a few weeks.

• Total duration: Traditionally described as 13 months and 13 days, i.e. about 400 days of alternate‑day fasting (one day full fast, next day food with rules).
• Start and end: It usually starts in Chaitra/Falgun Krishna paksha (according to your sect’s calendar) and ends on Akshaya Tritiya with sugarcane‑juice parna, remembering Bhagwan Rishabhdev’s parna.
• So the “Varshitap 2025 parna” (Akshaya Tritiya 2025, which fell on 30 April 2025 in many calendars) marks the end of a Varshitap that began around early 2024, and ran for roughly 400 days.

Local sangh dates may differ slightly (Digambar / Shwetambar, and regional panchang), but the basic length remains about 400 days.
