In Jain Dharma, there is no niyamit (fixed, scriptural) “sutak time” after baby birth.

1. Jain Siddhant – Is there sutak after birth?

• These come mostly from Hindu social customs, not from Jain siddhant.
• So:

- They are optional family customs, - Not a Jain religious rule or paap–punya matter.

3. Digambar vs Shwetambar?

• Both traditions: no clear scriptural rule of “must keep sutak X days after birth”.
• Only family / community customs may differ:

- Some may say 3 days, some 10, some none at all.

• A Jain is not doing wrong if:

- They do not follow sutak, - But they maintain ahimsa, satya, brahmacharya, aparigraha, and general shuddhi in food and conduct.

4. Practical guidance for you

• If you want to stay close to pure Jain dharma:

- Treat birth as shubh. - Do Navkār mantra, logassa, stavans softly near mother and baby. - Avoid only: - Heavy rituals that physically tire the mother - Big gatherings until health is stable.

• If your family has a tradition (e.g., 3 or 10 days no mandir):

- You may follow it to keep family harmony, - But know clearly in your mind: it is paramparā, not compulsory Jain dharma.

So, in Jainism there is no fixed “sutak time” after baby birth by scripture—only some optional family customs, which you may or may not follow.
